Welcome to the Rio Grande Valley Music Festival Website
The Rio Grande Valley Music Festival is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to three goals. First, to provide a venue for musicians of all levels of ability to perform in a professional setting. To that end we provide a "jamming tent" where players can gather in small groups and jam in an unstructured manner. The stages have scheduled performances. These are mainly working professionals who have other commitments and are generously donating their time for the festival. Open mic time is available on all stages. Open mic performers sign up with the Stage Manager for ten minute segments. Secondly, the RGVMF provides an opportunity for Valley residents and visitors to enjoy good, live music. This festival is to help support music education for young people. To that end all proceeds over expenses are donated to local youth music programs. $32,500.00 has been made available from the 2013 festival. We hope you find this website useful. If you would like more information, or have comments, feel free to call us at 956 373-0130, or email us as shown in the "contact us" page. We look forward to seeing you at the Rio Grande Valley Music Festival held at the Livestock Show grounds in Mercedes, Texas, February 11-16, 2014 for the 10th annual event.

Hello George and Edy and all RGV Music Fest people,
Much thanks for having us again at the fest!! While the festival has always been great, this year's was even better. We, the students, parents and teachers had a wonderful time! My favorite part was during the vocal contest when the sun broke through the clouds while one of our students was singing "You Are My Sunshine". How did you all arrange that?:) Sincerely, Alan and Christina Mayne

Mr. George Rogers
Rio Grand Valley Music Festival
Dear Mr. Rogers,
I first want to thank you and the Rio Grand Valley Music Festival for the $500.00 donation to our Music Program. I am well aware of the amount of work you all put into organizing and putting on the RGV Music Festival each year. So it's through your efforts that we are able to influence and inspire our young students to develop their musical talents. I am frugal with spending money wisely, so it will be used for the greatest benefits to the program. .
Thank you again for your continued support of our Program.
